​Karate In Olympics

The IOC ( International Olympic Committee ) has approved Karate to be in the Olympic Games, beginning with the 2020 Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Summer Camp 2017

The date for 2017 Summer Camp is July 7, 8, 9 in Whistler. ​

2017 Annual Gima Ha Shiai

The 2017 Annual Gima-ha Shiai will be held Saturday May 6 from 8 am - 4 pm at Yorkson Creek Middle School in Walnut Grove, Langley - address is 20686-84 Ave. The Shiai is open to all members and levels.

Class Schedule

The Chilliwack Karate Club is part of the Gima-ha Shotokan-ryu Association. Chief Instructor for Chilliwack is Troy Metzer, a 4th degree black belt (Yon Dan).


The Shobukai Dojo in Chilliwack offers training in karate and kobudo (traditional Japanese weaponry) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm — 8:30pm at the Victory Church in Chilliwack.
